Columbia Fire Zone, Revelstoke, B.C. (BC Wildfire Service Ministry of Forests)
Design of septic system of Type 2 combined in ground treatment system in complex soil types (22m3 /day). Other duties involved Project Management, O&M documents, construction supervision, Letter of Certification/Approvals.
Osprey affordable housing complex, New Denver, B.C. (BC Housing)
Responsible for onsite septic system consisting of advanced treatment aeration system with suspended media and associated Intermittent Sand Filter (ISF) discharge field (12m3 /day). Work involved; Design of septic system(s), IHA registration, project management, O&M documents, construction supervision, Letter of Certification/Approvals.
7 Nations Soaring Eagle Health Centre, Creston, B.C. (Lower Kootenay Band)
Design of Type 2 ISF onsite septic system for discharge in dense clay soils for Health Centre (22m3 /day). Responsible for design of septic, First Nations registration and associated approvals. Other duties involved, O&M documents, construction supervision, Letter of Certification/Approvals.

Design of WWTP for music festival (20,000 population equivalent) consisting of source separation, solid handling, flow equalization, custom aeration, and pressure distribution seepage beds. WTP – Detailed design and associated IH construction Permits for Water Treatment Plant consisting of cartridge filtration, UV and water cistern with booster pumps and associated controls (60 usgpm).
Nelway Border Facility, B.C. (CBSA)
Technical investigation for well system and septic system on Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA), technical report, security clearance.
Valemount Lodge, Valemount, B.C. (CMH)
Responsible for civil works for (i) commercial hot tub/cold plunge (ii) water cistern design and (iii) septic system design. Work involved; design of septic system(s), Northern Health (NH), drainage master plan, cistern and associated pumps and controls design, approvals for commercial hot tub under pool regulations/NH. Other duties involved Project Management, O&M documents, construction supervision, Letter of Certification/Approvals.
Kokanee Springs Resort, Crawford Bay, B.C.(Pinnacle Lifestyles)
Lead Civil engineer for resort development with ultimate build out of 400 units. Work involved Master Infrastructure Plan, Design of phase 1 & 2 WWTP (44m3 /day), Septic Tank Effluent Pump (STEP) system, civil design and infrastructure, WTP upgrades and associated approvals, natural swimming pond and associated treatment components, Project Management.
Red Mountain Resort, Rossland, B.C.
Responsible for civil works for paradise lodge upgrades and new club house/cabins infrastructure. Work involved; design of septic system(s), IHA registration, drainage master plan, WTP design, well applications and design. Other duties involved Project Management, O&M documents, construction supervision, Letter of Certification/Approvals.

Glory Septic - Design of Type 2 treatment septic systems for Glory Ticket Office using peat moss filter. Main Lodge – Repair of existing Type 1 treatment septic system with upgrades/Water distribution upgrade/Drainage plans/Design amendments. Development - Feasibility Infrastructure Report, Septic Design, Cost Estimates, Septic Site Investigation, Water Table Mounding Calculations. Conceptual- Water Treatment, Drainage Plan and Road Design.
Universal Water Metering Study, Salmo, BC (The Corporation of the Village of Salmo)
Completion of a universal water metering study which undertook a cost/benefit assessment for universal water metering. The study addressed the following issues: economic benefits, environmental considerations and benefits to the aquifer, equipment selection and configuartion, meter maintenance and reading, and rate structures.
Yarrow Elementary School and Rosedale Elementary School, Chilliwack, BC (SD 33 )
Responsible for Planning, Design, and Construction of Tertiary Waste Water Treatment Plant (37 m3 /day) and associated ground discharge in an environmentally sensitive area. Design Build Contract. Work involved: Detailed Design, Permit Applications, Operation Plan, First Nations Consultation, MoE registration, Environmental Impact Study Review, Construction Administration.
Type 3 Residential Septic Systems, BC. (Various)
Design of advanced treatment septic systems for residential application with site restrictions including: high groundwater table, impermeable soil types, close to surface water, small lot size, high strength effluent waste.
Wing Creek Resort, Kaslo, BC
Responsible for design of WWTP upgrade to accommodate anticipated development growth. Work involved: Implementing LEED design for storm and sediment control plan. drainage master plan, feasibility report, cost estimates, hydraulic profile, permit application, construction supervision.
Balfour Irrigation District, Balfour, BC (RDCK)
Working with financial advisor I was responsible for conceptual design of WTP upgrade to accommodate anticipated population growth and produced cost estimates to classification C level under Public Works Canada. Work involved: feasibility report, cost estimates, hydraulic profile, and conceptual design.
Mountain Shores Resort, Bosewell, BC
Responsible for retro-fit of existing RBC WWTP (built in seventies) for 110 lot subdivision (164m3 /day). Work involved; process/civil design of WWTW, design considerations for phased upgrades, MSR registration, assurance plan. Other duties involved Project Management, O&M documents, public meetings, construction supervision and directing biologist staff for Environmental Impact Study.
Christina Living Arts Centre, Christina Lake, BC. (CLAC)
Working with in a multi-disciplined design team, I was responsible for the civil works for a proposed new community welcome centre that will serve as an interpretive centre for the region with tourist attractions that will showcase the regions vibrant arts and cultural life, as well as its commitment to environmental sustainability. CLAC is anticipating LEED Gold Status. The Civil works included; Storm water management using bio-swales and associated overflow piping, car park design, and design of innovative wastewater treatment that will be will be upgraded to a `Living Machine`(Solar Aquatics) system in Phase 2. Other responsibilities included attending consultant meetings, construction supervision/inspection and liaising with local authorities.
